Hello!
My name is Gabriela Orofino, and I’m a Brazilian artist and illustrator living on an island along the coast. My work explores connections between people, memory, and natural landscapes, creating visual narratives inspired by local biodiversity and everyday relationships with the environment.
I work across editorial illustration, surface pattern design, and printmaking, using a combination of water-based media, hand-carved stamps, and digital techniques. My practice often brings together elements of fauna, flora, and place, highlighting ecological relationships and inviting a sense of recognition and connection with the natural world.
I collaborate on children’s books, scientific communication, illustrated maps, and visual storytelling across cultural, editorial, and commercial projects, including surface design and product illustration.
I’m available for commissions in editorial illustration, surface pattern design, and illustrated maps.
I also license my artwork, so if you’re interested in existing illustrations or patterns, feel free to reach out to view my licensing portfolio.
Let’s create something together.
All the best,
Gabriela
